Press statement, February 14th by Michael Stützer
Regarding Destruction at the Chris Witchunter tribute
To avoid futher confussion we hereby announce that both Artillery and Destruction are playing at the memorial concert for Witchhunter.
I'ts a great pleasure for Artillery to play with many of the finest germans thrash pioners like Sodom, Destruction (been 20 years since last time), Tankard
, and so on.
Even if we did not knew mr. Witchunter personally, we hope that we can contribute with the same spirit that we all feel for this kind of music."
Press statement, December 26th 2008 by Daniel Guerrero and Carsten Nielsen.
Artillery - 25 years in the trash.
Lots of guitar strings, drumsticks and necks have been broken since the birth of Artillery in 1982.
Even now, 25 years after the masses first heard the name, the steam coming out of the Thrash Machine is not slacking.
In fact, original members Carsten, Morten and Michael, long-time bassist Peter and newest component Sřren feel that the world has not yet seen the best of this legendary band.
Anybody close to the band will tell you the same: the cannons of Artillery have never been heavier, more solid or vigorously ready for combat.
According to the howitzers themselves, rehearsing has never felt better.
There is no doubt that a victorious future lies ahead of these Danish thrashers,
especially since they found the perfect front-man in Sřren Adamsen.
The new war strategy:
The year 2008 has seen the return of live exhibitions, after approximately 10 years of peace.
In March, a live DVD was recorded during the MetalMania Festival in Katowice, Poland.
A new studio effort will be recorded in 2009, and the band are looking to play as much concerts as possible.
Prepare for more news and updates, because legendary cult act Artillery can't wait to start their (delayed) conquest of the world!

Artillery - 25 years in the trash.
A lot of guitar-strings, drumsticks, earplugs etc. have been broken since Artillery was formed back in 1982
- And nowadays 25 years later there?s still plenty of steam in the old Artillery Thrash Machine.
Still consisting of Carsten, Morten & Michael; three original members from 1982
? and Peter who joined the band in 1989; and not to forget our newest member S?ren joining in 2007, a guy that fits the band perfectly!
It really feels like the strongest line-up in the history of Artillery,
and there?s no doubt that it makes it very enjoyable to rehearse, and we really enjoy each others company.
So everything is working out very well for the band at the moment.
The Line-up:
S?ren Adamsen ? Vocals
Morten St?tzer ? Guitar
Michael St?tzer ? Guitar
Peter Thorslund ? Bass
Carsten N. Nielsen ? Drums
In the year 2008 we will be back on the stage all over Europe, hopefully enjoying ourselves playing live again
for the first time in approximately 10 years.
In March we will be recording a Live DVD during the MetalMania Festival in Katowice in Poland.
Well that?s all for now, but we are pretty much sure that you are going to hear a lot more from us in 2008..
See you soon!!
